Oftentimes, when a person is afflicted with a pest problem, people assume it’s due to poor hygiene or housekeeping skills. Unfortunately, this is not true! -Itchy bites. One of the biggest indicators of flea problems is a lot of itching and scratching! This can be on you, or you also might notice it in your pet. Fleas love furry mammals, and anything from a dog, cat, mouse or human will suffice for their needs. Be sure to check with your doctor, however, before diagnosing yourself with itchy flea bites!

_Visual clues. Fleas are tiny, but they still leave clues behind that are visible to the naked eye. You might see the actual adult fleas, either on your pets, yourself, or bedding. You might also find flea eggs under bedding or on mattress seams. Another indicator is flea feces, which are described as looking like ground black pepper.
